Our mission is to enable everyone to participate and thrive in the economy.

A brief history

Anamo is headquartered in Thessaloniki.

Just over a decade ago we started an online store anamo.gr to sell sports supplements and technology products directly to those who loved these things as much as us.

We wanted to own our brand and build relationships with our customers, along with selling our goods, so we built the tools for ourselves. We soon realized a number of other merchants were in need of a cheap and hassle-free platform to build their retail business, and Anamo Webstore was born.

It’s been our mission to help people participate and thrive in the economy ever since. Today, merchants and individuals use our platform to manage every aspect of their business — from products to orders to customers, selling online, through social media and chat apps, and on the go.

About Panos Tsimpoglou

Armed with a dream that commerce should be easy and simple to participate, a college dropout, Panos Tsimpoglou set out to create Anamo. In 2007, he didn’t know what kind of company Anamo was going to be, but he knew exactly what it shouldn’t be—an environment where he had to conform rather than be who he authentically was.

Panos is currently the Software Architect and Founder at Anamo. Previously Panos co-founded Rewrd (reached semi-finals during pre-seed round at the Openfund), and iTzoker App (#2 in Top Paid Apps in the App Store in Greece).

He has been featured on Techmeme and Hacker News during the acquisition of Sparrow Mail App by Google.

Notable Experience: Two years in the Incubator of Thessaloniki ICT Business Park.
